Jigsaw Kerry news update

YCP participantsJigsaw Kerry hosted a Networking and Information morning in Tralee on November 28th 2011. This morning was attended by over 80 individuals representing agencies and organisations from around the County, many of whom provide front line services for young people. Jigsaw Kerry and Headstrong presented data on the many initiatives being rolled out through Jigsaw in the County including, The My World School’s Survey, Training Suite, Parent Information Toolkit, The Another Piece Mentoring Programme and the direct services being provided at the Jigsaw Hub.

Certificates of Completion were also presented by Dr. Tony Bates to the nine Youth Centred Practice participants who completed training the previous week.

 

EBS Community Fund

Good news, following on from the €500 received from the application put into the EBS for the Community Fund, Jigsaw Kerry (along with 23 other groups around Ireland) are into a National Fund. And from all of the groups who received the local EBS Community Fund Award a panel has shortlisted 23 community groups, clubs, causes and associations to be considered for the overall award. Whichever group receives the most amount of votes will be awarded the €10,000 award.
